Is it possible to get/make something like a y pipe that would go from the header/cat into maybe a resonator and then lead to 2 seperate straight pipes that end right infront of the rear tires...you know Viper Style?

Of course the side curtains would have to be cut and something that can take the heat would need to be there, but is this possible?

I know it's not possible on other cars because of the gas tank...is that the case with the MCS?

Have you crawled under your MINI today?
That would pretty much answer your question.

While I believe really anything can be done, it would be a major butcher-job to the undercarriage, killing the MINI's rigidity...

That center tunnel would be nice real estate for those wanting RW or AWD though  I digress...

Side pipes are just not feasible on the MINI, and I would say not even desirable from a performance perspective due to the sharp bends needed...

If you have alot of money, and want something truely unique, just about anything can be done. That would look really neat. But for what you would probably end up paying total, including the cost of the car, you may be able to buy a used viper. There is alot of structural metal you'd have to torch. You would probably have to cut the entire floor pan out, and have a custum pan made. BIG $$$$$!

I've been wondering about a LeMans style exhaust for sometime, though. The rear skirt would require alot of work. The fake air vents would need to be opened up, and some heat shielding cut to allow the piping to exit those locations, but it would look really cool. 1 tip exiting the inside of each lower side vent - with the rest of the vent fitted with stainless mesh. Custom heat shields would be needed, along with additional sculpting of the rear fascia. But damn, that would look cool!

thats a pretty cool idea, I'm sure it can and will get done by someone. I think you would lose a lot of ground clearance though. Would also be prettty loud.
