Covering Plating 6 Speed Trans

Hello,

Can anyone help me what the two holes are for on the Getrag 6 speed transmission next to where the Front Left Drive Shaft goes in? See picture of red arrows.

I cannot find any the information from realoem.com part lists, but I found one from a Midland 5 speed transmission that has the "Covering Plate" Part #23001502525.

Does anyone know the part number or name for the Getrag 6 speed trans where the holes are located?

Please let me know.

Thanks.

Looks like the plate that block the hole in the housing (little window that let you see the flywheel). Normally there should be a plate, even on 6 speeds, I believe. Most cars have this hole blocked. It should have the same name as it's the same thing in both case. Wouldn't it be this? 24007513345

Great thanks.

It just looked weird how the diagram showing the covering plate inserted on the trans. It would have be better to show the picture clearing how the covering plate bolt on.

Thanks again.

I ended up making my own Covering Plate out of an aluminum.

Turned out okay and I am happy with it and saved some $$.
