Aftermarket R56 Intake Manifold

Hello everyone!

Just wondering if there are any aftermarket intake manifolds for our cars, or if anyone has ever had one custom made? I would imagine there could be some gains to be had, but I haven't been able to find anything about one. Or perhaps our plastic ones are efficient enough for the little 1.6?

You can't find any information about an aftermarket inlet manifold, simply because nobody does offer or will offer one to replace the OEM inlet manifold, if you think there are gains to be had, you will have to find someone willing to manufacturer a custom inlet manifold specifically just for you to your design.

It is not as simple as you may think, unsettling the combustion balance is easy, getting it right to give gains over and above the matched flow balance of the OEM inlet manifold when pressure balanced against the exhaust manifold, is where the years of knowledge and skill are required and this costs $$$$$

Hit the nail on the head here. DI engines are extremely sensitive to flow. Even minor changes can have awful effects, like not being able to idle with cold air temps.
