I just installed two gauges that read oil and boost. What readings are any of you out there getting at idle? I am checking to see if there is any leaks. For the boost gauge at idle, the gauge is reading -15 or so. Oil pressure is around 23 psi.

Assuming you mean 15 vac, those two readings are pretty much right what I get at idle....

 

Oil pressure varies considerably with oil temp.

Vacuum runs about 15 in. at startup (fast idle) drops to around 20 in. at normal idle. On the overrun (engine braking) it may drop to 25 in.

 

I bought the pod set and gauges from a guy in Cleveland, OH. His name is Dennis Ruvolo. I was in town and we used his heated garage to intall the mechanical gauges. Real good guy. He is selling his kits on ebay. His work number is 216-676-2589. Tell him that Carl referred him to you. His kit is selling for $285 with everything you need including brass fittings.
