Figure 1
Step 2: Remove and discard the factory hose clamp.
Step 3: Remove bolt indicated by top-left red circle.
Step 4: The battery terminal is attached to the side of the airbox. Lift the battery box off of the airbox mount. Be careful as there isn't much slack in the battery cable coming out of the bottom of the battery box. In effect you are just unclipping the battery box containing the terminal from the side of the airbox. This process does NOT disconnect the battery and therefore does NOT reset your radio presets or other features.
Step 5: Remove the top of the stock airbox cover along with the paper filter inside. Figure 2 illustrates the box after removing the top cover and filter.
Figure 2
Step 6: Install the intake as shown in Figure 3.
WARNING: The filter does not come pre-oiled and must be oiled before use. Failure to do so may result in poor filtration and/or potential engine damage.

Step 7: Use provided phillips screws to secure heatshield to bottom half of airbox.
Step 8: Attach battery to mounting bracket on the left side of the heat shield. Again, be careful as there is not much slack in the battery cable.
Step 9: Reinsert bolt displayed in top-left red circle.
Step 10: Tighten hose clamp. Place hose clamp over rubber intake tube. Slide the tube onto the Madness Intake and then tighten the hose clamp.
Step 11: You're done! (See Figure 4a) Go enjoy your newly found horsepower and torque. Be sure to view the before and after dyno results from our installation by clicking on the image below (Figure 4b).
