Engine temp

Hey, I installed my Helix IC last weekend and have 2 questions.
1. Has anyone who has installed a FMIC noticed any higher engine temps?
2. Whats the normal operating temp for Mini's?

I ask because I was thinking that the intercooler partially covers the radiator(Helix, Alta, Forge) and thus making the car run warmer. I have a scanguage hooked up and noticed the car is at 195-210F while driving. I didnt notice the temp before changing the IC. I should have logged it before the switch so I wouldnt have to ask
My intake temps are perfect at 81-82 though.
Maybe Im just paranoid, thanks.

Normally the engine runs at 105 C (221 F). Under heavy loads it goes down to 85 C. My Scangauge almost always reads 220 to 222.

219-223 is acceptable. I usually see 216-217 deg F on the track with all the air slamming on the radiator.

My factory JCW temp gauge is showing between 100-109 C, or 212-228 F When the fan comes on, it will kick it back to the mid to high 80's. I watched it closely after installing the Helix FMIC, as well as the hood insulation, no change.
