Evolve Sports Cat DP

I was wondering if anyone on NAM has this installed. I emailed them to see if the DP will throw any CEL and they said it doesn't on their Euro cars. It's pretty pricey too when you convert the money...any opinions? Thanks in advance!

If you're looking for a downpipe you'll need a tune to go with it. If you aren't running a stock downpipe with the OEM catalytic converter you're going to get downpipe CELs. There is no way around it. Un-tuned you'll actually lose some low end torque, but it flows better in the top end.

If you don't like the price, talk to the folks at ABF motoring or Waylend at Way Motor Works. Heck you probably have some local talent that can build a pipe for you.

yeah i figured you need a tune to get rid of the cel, i just wanted to see if anyone on here actually have this downpipe installed and what they think of it, this DP doesn't seem to popular on here

yeah it's because of price and shipping. You can get an akrapovic for a good price or a miltek from dealers here in the US - -if you want a cat.

Catless you have other options

I think they just released it too. Any import part from the U.K. you're going to pay a bit more.

What ECU tunes would you guys reccomend for a catless pipe? What are some of the more popular tunes

If you want a catted DP just get the Akrapovic, it is great.

these guys seem to love them but they are on the euro cars. i have a riss racing catted DP which you can't get anymore. i didn't feel i lost any power on the butt dyno but gained top end power. i also got a CEL every 250 miles. i thuink it was worth it just for the sound gain and all the extra pops and bangs.

Yeah way i might go with the Akrapovic, can't go wrong with a reputable company.

What's so different between ours and the euro models?

I was looking into going with the evolve catless or even have a shop do one up for me with the challenge exhaust or stratmosphere 2 exhaust. Same company I have on my S4 and it's fantastic. But what do you guys reccomend as a tune. I see alot of places send you a controller instead of you sending out the ecu to get chipped. Alta seems to be a big one. Any others?

Evolve has the Evolve-R tool.
Mynes tuning with still working on their Full Access R56 tool.
Cobb AccessPort is all the rage right now.
