what is that tube called, the one that goes from the throttle body to the engine manifold (NOT the TB to the airbox)...?

I have seen pics of people who are selling those tubes, and, they look highly restrictive and silly!

anyone modded this particular pipe? anything aftermarket available?

you mean the pipe that goes from the throttle body to the supercharger? that pipe can be custom made, it does help flow, but is a bit tricky to fabricate.

ya that one. ive seen / heard of M7s AGS, where they made one out of aluminum.

has anyone else bothered to modify this piece? again, it looks ridiculous, and i was looking at my car last night, and i feel it was made that way bc it would be easiest to install in a mass production environment.

seems like, if you re-did that coolant hose, you would have plenty of room for a fully expanded tube.

i just dont quite know how that thing connects one bit to the other, and it looks like a super PITA to get to! :(

 

The only way to get to it is to go completely into "service mode" and pull the core support & all, best time to experiment and/or fabricate would be in conjunction with a W/P or S/C service or replacement.
