I had gotten in the K-Mac camber plates, as well as the rear bushing kit, from Pro-Mini. The machining quality is abysmal, the fit and finish ugly, and the instructions minimal (for the bushings) to non-existent (the camber plates).

I am sitting here wondering why I paid $315.95 for CC plates that look like ****, especially when I hold them up to the $199 ones on my old '90 Mustang GT from Maximum Motorsports... comparing chintzy thin gauge metal to heavy steel CNC machined parts, cheap sleeve bushing to the spherical bearing on the MM ones... does the fact that our cars are made by BMW mean that we have to pay over half-again as much as domestic products, plus have the parts be junk I would feel bad foisting on some sucker on Ebay?!

Don't even get me started with the bushing kit... calling it feces would be giving dung beetles a bad name.

I am not happy with these things, at all.

I haven't purchased any K-Mac products for my MINI....because of my past experience with K-Mac products for my 3-er BMW. Crappy is a good adjective

I don't think I would have been so upset, except for the fact that the camber plates had obviously been poorly repackaged, likely after someone else had returned them. The polyurethane bushings were split, and there was wear that looked like at least one of the plates had been installed. Add in the total lack of instructions or any documentation included in the box.

The biggest issue with the bushings is that the Pro-Mini site states that they allow control of camber and toe, implying that one bushing is used on each of the 4 control arms. Turns out they are only for the lower control arm, and are designed solely to control camber. For $50 less than their price I could have gotten the Pro-Mini billet arms for the same purpose. Even if this is cut and paste for the item description, it is deceptive.

I am not impressed with K-Mac, nor am I likely to return to Pro-Mini for anything in the future. The final decision on that will be how much hassle is involved in the return/refund, and whether I have to file a dispute for the credit card transaction.
