are 380s enough?

Ive searched all over the forum to no avail.

Currently i have an 04 mcs with a cai, 15% pulley and exhaust.

id like to install an RMW header, RMW cam and injectors as well as get the car tuned. Id gladly go with 450 injectors but id like to install the injectors and cam before heading off to get the car tuned leaving me with the question, are 380s enough?

Ive seen plenty of people run 380s with the cam and header but I just want to make sure im not going to be limiting the ability to tune the car aka...run out of fuel to gain max performance? Im not worried about not being able to increase the rev limiter cuz i know the 380s limit that atleast a little bit.

Since you sre paying $$ to get the car tuned, ask the tuner...
My gut instinct is you car can make more than the 210 hp that the 380's are good (with very safe afr) for with your list of parts....

Just install the cam and wait to install the injectors at the dyno. The install only takes about 20 mins tops. 380s should do fine but why not spend the extra dough on RMW 450s? That leaves room for more upgrades later on.

Pretty sure theres no way the car will run with all those mods and only stock 330/340 injectors to get to the tuner.

It will run. I ran the same mods minus the header for about 6 months before I got the tune done. Though your injectors will be running at about 90-95% duty cycle so just go easy and you will be fine. The only reason I say to wait is if you go with 450cc injectors the car will run pig rich and destroy your cat. If you do decide to install the 380s then yeah, by all means install the same time as the cam.

^^ Ditto ^^ it will "run" just fine for the time being, you just won't get the full potential from the mod's and you don't want to run it very hard.

So i just want to make sure I'm understanding everyone right and everyone is understanding me... What you are all telling me is that I can run the car with the cai, 15% pulley, exhaust, header, and cam on the factory base 330/340 injectors as long as I baby to car to get it to the tuner and install larger injectors right before the tune? I won't go Lean and put the car in limp mode or destroy my engine? We are talking prolly a 3 hour drive on the highway to get to the tuner!

Yes, you won't really have to baby it, just drive normally, don't WOT the car and don't run for any length of time at high rpm and you won't push the injectors near their limit, highway cruising they're probably only at 55 to 60% anyway.

^^Truth. I drove about 2.5 hours at speeds up to 70mph to get to the dyno and the only problem I had was the T-stat gasket failing on the first pull :P
