Why would typhoon sri intake fit a 08 mini "S" and not a "clubman S"

Can anybody tell me why the K&N Typhoon intake 69-series part 69-2004ttk says it will work for a 08 Mini "S", but not the 08 "Clubman S"?

Is there any difference between the 2 cars under the hood?

It does fit. There are no differences under the hood. Unless you are on ebay or something where the convertible s in 08 still has the supercharged motor so its really an r53 under the hood. thats the only way. sorry if this reply was a bit disjointed im working on a couple of other things at the moment.
