NM Engineering's DP back exhaust....

Anyone purchased NM's DP back exhaist system yet? Been waiting for them to bring this out for a while now. Good thing I didn't buy the cat back system. Any reviews done yet?

We've installed the NM DP back exhaust and it sounded great. Heck I even made a little video

I'll let you know after I pick one up from Way next Friday.

I don't expect any significant gains, but looking for a good sounding exhaust that won't drone while I'm on they highway. It's just one many planned mods and trips to WMW.

Stop DP, but planning to the get WMW DP once it's available ... and it'll be my final mod, I think, before the Mini's final tune with Way as well.

Ok....I am officially jealous. That's my desired setup for the exhaust system. WMW DP and NM system. It's such a good thing I don't live in ATL. Way would get tired of seeing me and my car lol!

I just found out about this exhaust last night and must say I am pretty interested, I dont really want to deal with replacing the downpipe for various reasons so this seems like a good idea.

way, I saw the clip but imo you can never get a good impression on how a system sounds from just revving. The car needs to be driving because in my experience the exhaust note sounds completely different while the engine is under load.

Zenga, do you think its possible to make a video so we can hear it while driving?

I installed the NM DP back system back in November. Quality, fit and finish, ease of installation, all outstanding. The sound of the system is great. Nice deep sound. I higly recommend this exhaust. Nice job NM!!!

Ok, so it looks good, fits good and sounds good. Does it go good, or really no difference? Please be honest as I'm trying to decide between this system and another one.

Mine will be here friday and wont have it installed till sunday or monday. But I am not expecting that much of an improvement but I also opted not to get the DP as I want the akrapovic DP

I bought it because I love the sound of it and the weight as well as the steel used to make it. Heres the kicker, low drone at high speeds !!

What other exhausts do you have in mind ??

That Akrapovic DP looks sweet, but it gives a CEL and without a good tune, it won't go away or be able to get the most out of it. Unfortunately, living here in Bermuda, there's NO ONE that does anthing like that.
As for other systems, I was looking at the Miltek system. They claim 35HP and there was a Euro performance mag that tested a car, and the exhaust actually made a 38HP gain. However, I don't like the fact that it has 4 sections and tips that bolt on. If anything, I'll get Miltek's DP and the NM DP back system.

It's hard to tell if I gained anything from the exhaust. I originally looked at the Milteck system and heard great things about it. I just didn't care for the amount of pieces. I've done a multiple piece system like that before and it turned out to be a jigsaw puzzle just to get everything to line up properly. The simplicity of the NM kit along with all the pros was well worth it. I do notice drone at higher, steady rpms but it's not that bad.

Nice!
As for your other post, I wouldn't worry about the smoke. It will all burn in/break in. My DP back system just as any other exhaust I've installed on other vehicles has given off a smell along with smoke that goes away. The DP back system doesn't include the downpipe. It simply bolts to the stock DP. It just eliminates the secondary cat. Enjoy!!!

I installed mine about a year ago with no troubles at all. No need to worry about any CELs.
