Anyone delete the resonator on their Milltek/Stratmosphere exhausts?
Just curious if anyone has removed their resonator on either of these systems? I have a Statmosphere on my '05 and while I really like it, I am intrigued by the thought of deleting the resonator up front. The problem is I don't see that Milltek sells one nor do I see one from the other aftermarket companies. I know that you used to be able to get one for the JCW exhaust, but that is the only one I've seen. Just seeing if it's gonna have to be a custom job or not and what to expect the sound to be like. Ideally, I'd like very little noise increase, but I like to have it "pop" more on deceleration.

I have deleted mine a few years ago. It will make the car louder over all. and it should not affect the pop any as that is in the ECU, but since you have nothing there to help silence it, it could get a bit louder also. I have a RMW header also so that make the car much louder over all, but the second I start it, it puts a smile on my face and everyone around me. I would say that it is not wife/girlfriend friendly, but it does sound good. I have a Millteck for reference. I think that a Strat system would be a bit softer and quieter since the system is over all all. hope that helps a bit. do a search on here as there are several exhaust threads and may of them deal with taking parts out.
