The guys at Mynes were able to spend a bit more time on the project and are very satisfied with the results. I will be posing a dyno chart and some more details tomorrow .

Thats more like it, car feels decently fast automatic and all.
This is with a stock head, so adding a big valve head would easily give you an additional 15-20whp.
We are running the 60mm as standard size which gives us 18-19psi of boost.
The car will rev to 7200rpm in first gear and 7000 in the rest of the gears using the sport setting for changing gears (manumatic).
And I almost forgot Mynes Bytronic software.

Randy, I have no pic of the dyno chart!
You guys are using the 60mm already, I was debating on going with that when I picked up my 64mm. It will probably work better once I get my motor rebuilt anyhow.

I know it's an auto and all but initial numbers at 133 whp and 140 lb-ft seem quite low. If first plot is totally stock and second is Sprintex with smallest pulley available up to now and tuned, I'm thinking that the delta of 58 whp is somewhat disappointing considering that they can been achieved with bolt-ons. I like the torque delta though.
1st Question, if you can rev it up to 7000 on 3rd/4th gear why is the dyno plot only up to 6500/6600 rpms? I know the auto is a pain on the dyno but I thought the software might have solved that?
2nd Question, why are these posts forwarding information from previously banned members allowed when the same is not allowed for other banned members?

Not sure on the revs during the test as I was not present.
As for point two, as a paying vendor I am providing information on a product we are currently selling . I am not limited in who I get that information from as far as I know . Perhaps you should be asking the mods and let's keep this thread on topic.

Dosent the Dynapack bolt to the hubs? If the car was dynoed in California (Sea level) why is there a correction factor of 1.0? What was the temps in the dyno room in DECEMBER? Just saying quite a few dyno opperators can make the numbers say anything they want.

Doesn't a correction factor of 1.0 basically mean "no correction"? That is, the dyno just reports whatever it measures (as opposed to a tcf of 1.2, which would inflate the measured numbers by 20%)?
Also, the printout says the run was from last month, so why are you asking about dyno room temperatures in December? Or am I looking at the wrong chart?

Sorry I'm not too familiar with the Dynapack Dyno's, the ones I deal with a correction factor of 0% means no change. Like the Dynojet graphs used earlyer on this page, Mustang dynos are the same way. I also got a little confused for a second on the date on Checkers sheet, I just saw the numbers, and thought it was December. My bad, I was wrong.

Edmunds, Carmodified, Car and Driver and couple of others have compared different Dynometers and the Dynapak always gave higher numbers vs Mustang and DynoJet. If I remember 12-15% more. Gooogle it. Use Dynapak if you want to feed your ego.

I have been to a few tune days and yes!! I have seen just a tune get 60 HP on a MINI..
Granted the car was very weak to start with and it was an Automatic..
The automatics are known for weaker numbers then a stick for obvious reasons..
Said car still did not get up to the numbers that the sticks were getting..
I don't think you can compare the 2 together as far as their numbers on a dyno..
It's not apples to apples as they say..

A short sidebar on dynos...
All dynos will vary in what they measure. You cannot compare different dyno results. You can only compare results on the same dyno. Get your baseline run, do your mods, then go back and compare.

Personally, I would prefer sticking with the Dynopack or Dyno Dynamics for readings. If a Dynojet is the only one available in your area, at least use that. Just keep in mind many think a Dynojet's numbers are a little high vs. the Dyno Dynamics setup (at least with the domestic motorheads I have hung out with in the past).
I have done both Dyno Dynamics and Dynapack runs. The results on the former came in about where I thought they would (see my reply to the Dyno thread in the Drivetrain S section). However, the Dynapack results were horrible. The people running the machine had the torque resistance cranked up so high, my MCS sounded like it was really sick struggling to build up RPMs. NEVER has mine sounded like that when I go WOT on the street. So, proper operation of the dyno itself counts as well (hence knowing such things as correction factor).
Having said all that, I, like many others, would love to see more baseline/modified comparisons with the Sprintex, whatever dyno you choose.
