So I bought a ss header from someone on here and it came with a gutted cat, I've found the replacement cat I need, BUT, the shop isn't sure they can cut/re-use the flange that's already on the gutted cat (this is off the car btw, trying to keep my stock setup in-tact).

I'm looking online, but having a hard time finding a flange that matches the one on the header. If I measured right, it looks to be about: 4.5" wide, 2.75" tall, 3.75" bolt hole to bolt hole, and 2.25" inside diameter.

Now, if I can't find one of those exact measurements, will it really matter as long as the bolt holes and inside-diameter match?

Edit: Also, how well do v-band clamps work, and would that be an acceptable alternative to the bolt/flange setup?

is this an exhaust shop? I dont think the flange is special... should be a 2 hole flange for 2.25 pipe

 

He said he didn't have the flange and that I'd have to provide it (maybe their way of cutting costs, LOL)

I don't have a problem providing one, just wanting to make sure I get the right one.
