as much as twincharging is cool, a twin-screw(sprintex) is a thing of beauty, have you heard one? I heard atwinscrew on an older GTI, ZOMG!!!!!

not only do they make full boost all the time, theyre more efficient(less heat) and just as reliable, can produce more power than roots, WANT!!!!

So the Sprintex still sounds like a Roots type charger?

Because one of the big turnoffs for me of the Rotrex kit is that it doesn't really make the idyllic supercharger scream.

lol....have you been in one?

One ride, and you won't give a damn that there's no whine

And to the OP....if you only want 250hp, do yourself a favor and just get a head/cam/header. You'll have 250, save money, and have no headaches over trying to get the twincharge system working right.

+1. Don't forget with the upgraded power, you will need to upgrade your brakes too.

Brakes are overrated, they just slow you down. I prefer to get dangerous break fading at high speeds. But maybe thats because I dont have the money for brembos

Why upgrade brakes for a 250HP car....no need unless he is doing track events or light to light drags.....

BTW it is not hard to tune a twincharge kit if you know what you are doing. I am using 650cc EV14 injectors with a piggyback tuner. For drivability you need to stage boost based on RPM and TPS. There are tricks such as check valves and using the right boost source for wastegate control. We have produced plenty of twincharged cars with perfect drivability (not just Minis).
