Hello everyone,

I have an R53 with a remus exhaust on it. I'm not sure exactly which exhaust system it is (bought the car used) but it was put on between 2003 and 2005 under my assumption. My problem is that the exhaust clamps have rusted out and the rubber mounts which hold it to the car have started to tear. My problem is that I cannot find either of these items anywhere, and I'm wondering if anyone on her had this problem and found the parts somehow or if they went with an alternative method to repair it.

I reused the stock clamps to install my borla exhaust. Unfortunately, one of my did tear and I just left it. However, my dad got me a generic hanger from advanced auto parts and it was the exact same hanger that Minis use.

 

Just about any exhaust shop should be able to help out out here. I never recomend doing exhaust work (on a daily driver) yourself, and I am very DIY oriented.

 

Some Guy, I'm surprised you don't do exhaust work. I had my stock system out and borla in and car off the lift sooner than it took me to install my Alta intake, no problems what so ever.

 

I did some work on a friends 03 Sentra and it completely turned me off.

 

I kinda ripped like three of my hangers instaling the Magnaflow, not really a big deal. Id do what slapshot591 said about the hangers cause if im not mistaking MINI wont sell you just the rubber hangers.
