I am considering buying a GForce ECU chip for my 2006 MCS cabrio with automatic trans. (I know, I know ...not the best choice for a high-performance MINI, but even we cabrios have a legitimate interest in improving the performance of our beloved steeds).

There is precious little information available about this chip. The website (http://www.gforcechips.com/minicoopers.aspx) does not offer much to go by. The price seems rediculously low compared to most other chip mods and there seems to be no differentiation in the program for various other performance mods (breathers, pipes, pullys, etc.).

Does anyone know anything about this chip?

is lie to the ECU about air temp. Save your money and time. Yes, you can get a few HP this way, but the car will be blind to really high intake temps and will not be able to take care of itself.

In general, when you see some piece of craap that hooks up with two wires and promises huge gains in MPG or power.... RUN AWAY!
