Drivetrain How's the Milltech header work for you guys?

JCW Exhaust restrictive? What makes you say that?
My understanding it is flow through exhaust. :???:

According to Randy Webb the JCW exhaust is more restrictive and is not well matched for the Milltek header. You can add the header but the advantage will be smaller about half of the power gains compared to the UUC or the new Milltek exhaust. A dead giveaway for a restrictive exhaust is the relatively low power gains of the exhaust by itself. Loudness means nothing. The other aspect of restrictive exhausts is the overall design. Some exhausts are limited to be more restrictive based on design and with no header they are still OK but when you add the header it is just too restrictive to get the full advantage.
Now the other logical question is if you compared the stock exhaust to the JCW kit exhaust then sure the JCW kit exhaust would be "more" flow through than the stock exhaust. Then if you compare the JCW kit exhaust to the least restrictive exhausts there would be no comparison. Give Randy Webb a call, he'll be glad to discuss the options with you.

Santa's coming tomorrow
If the weather's good, I'll report my experience. I'm optimistic that with my Alta intake/pully, Randy's powerchip, Borla Race, it'll be very noticable. Stay tuned

Let's clear up this "Quicksilver" versus Milltek issue again in this thread. The Quicksilver Header has always been made by Milltek and was Grey market imported by Quicksilver into the USA against Millteks wishes and business agreement. Randy can substantiate after numerous discussions with the owner of Milltek, Phil Millington.
Phew, out of the way again. I just need to reinforce that when it comes up. CoolNew is not permitted to sell Milltek in the USA as well. We are the only importer of Milltek in North America. -Pete Ryckaert, Stratmosphere
