Per hour labor charges will vary by shop, Pulleys can take anywhere from half hour to an hour to change, based on mechanic experience.

That seems pretty high to me, a shop like that should be able to do it in half an hour, seems pretty steep at $400 an hour for labor.

I saw that, but if we look at cost of parts, $200 for 15% package from Way, that leaves $200 for labor. This a half hour of work for $200= $400 an hour.

And Way's pack comes with a tensioner stop.

Here it was my cost for the pulley change:
Pulley 15% + timing belt + 2hrs labor = 280$ CND

This is true, $400 P&L is way high, however, if your role model are the best & brightest, some of them make $5k or more an hour and it doesent matter that you fail

How are you doing with your pulley project?

Gotta wait till i get some solid time off of work, It's going to be a week or two, I think. But i did find a shop that's closer, only 1.5 hours away instead of 3.

Helix does it for $385.20 including parts (pulley+belt) and labor. If it costs a little bit more, to me it is worth it because I know it is being done by professionals that know what they are doing and have done it before and can let you know about anything going on with your car if they see any problems.
