Looking for a solution

Hi everyone,
I just bought and installed the Alta Downpipe and exhaust on my 2007 MCS.
My problem is I love the sound, though it is louder than I expected, but i can live with it, on the other hand my wife absolutely hates it. Is there a solution that we can both live with?
I thought about installing one of the Dynamat products to lessen the sound, will this work or are other way to make the car quieter without having to uninstall the exhaust system?

Any insulation would help, thats for sure. I would do a search in the audio section as there are some cheaper solutions than the brand name dynamat stuff. I'll do some diggin!

Get rid of your wife!! Sorry I had to do it. I'm kidding. I'm about to get married too, but my fiancee is totally opposite and loves a good roar.

Since you can't return the exhaust, you're stuck with dynamat or similar products. You might also want to try stuffing the boot with blankets to deaden the sound as a hack way of dampening noise.

This a question not an answer, but would wrapping the exhaust help?

Perhaps "Alta Jarid" or someone knows?

Just consulted the ouija board.... yes -->no. It will make a TAD bit of difference. For the money/time you are going to spend on the wrapping I would insulate the floorboard/boot area.

Maybe modify the exhaust by having another resonator installed on it.
