has anyone on this forum had there mini up to 400 bhp? i know that a lot and is costly but im looking to make this a 2 year project and most of the work minus the machining will be done by me. i want to get a baseline on my mods since im new to the mini world. if anyone has done this successfully let me know what needed to be done. thanks
how easy and expensive is it to convert to a turbo? i have an 03 mcs sc there is no blower for them that will make that power? i like having it supercharged.
contact revolution Mini Works. for some ideas. his heads have had a few issues here an there though, and he is not a large enough company to be able to warranty parts, so id talk to him about general conception as he does have a tvs charger on one of his cars. its a 2.0L with ~24 psi. he isnt finished tuning the whole mess yet though.
As you're figuring out how to make all this power, don't forget to think about how to get it all planted down on terra firma with the two front wheels, and still be able to turn left and right. Good luck!

Mini USA drag car: R53, 632 WHP! Stock block, crank and rods. Single turbo only. Done by ABF performance, now called ABF/Mynes performance, still in Southern California, still working on Minis
I have a friend with an RMW 2-liter motor that will trade you even up for a stock motor, even though he has spent over $15k on the motor. Any further questions?
Your biggest headache if you want to do most of it yourself is probably going to be the stock ECU. The actual turbo conversion is is just a bunch of time and money but is nothing that cant be done without the right knowledge. The stock ECU... I can only speculate how that does. Call Mynes, they would know.
