Help!
At the Atlanta Pulley Party this summer, I had the Alta pulley and the Powerchips ECU remap done to my S. On the drive home, car lost power, then the check engine light remained on for about 5 to 6 restarts. ( Randy had left a voice mail to me that this may happen with the powerchips upgrade.). The car has run fine untill yesterday, it did the same thing!!! I have put on about 2000 miles since the upgrade. ( I know it's not much milage, but my S is my saturday/sunday car ).
Since the upgrade I have added the colder Iridium plugs and changed out my wires to magnacor wires.
Has this happened to anyone else?
I left a message to Randy at his site, no reply yet. ( maybe he's on the road ).

Glenn

He's in Atlanta this evening and returning home Tue or Wed, research. yes, they have a fix for this, Scott and I both had it, something about a algorythm going over 100 to 101 , they quickly re-tweaked the mapping and fixed it, something about softwear version. each car's ecu is mapped, like your sig. Once Randy gets your chip he will ship you the softwear/cables and chip for you to re-flash.

Scott is suppose to meet with him tonight we, scott and some of us were going to have a flashing party. we were going to get or try and get some updates from powerchip, that way we can all do it together. I'll know more after tomorrow.

do you have randys phone, leave a few messages etc... if you PM'ed him he should get it when he gets back in. Randy can explaine it.

btw i've been at two Autox events since, love the power and pull.

D,
the pulley party was july 25/26
if I recall, Randy was just starting with Powerchips.
He and I sat in front of Starbucks, while he was downloading the upgrades for us at the party.

Ahhh...so you'all were part of the maiden voyage ...
I was obviously incorrect in my assumption that I was the 1st.
I think I flashed my car on 8/4...as I recall it being on a Monday
Interesting......
It explains why I have had no issues....
I put in a call to Randy myself... & if I hear anything..... I'll post here

Peace,
D

I hope this is all fixed on the current versions of the Powerchip and Webb/Powerchip ECU upgrades!
Doesn't sound good esp with the shipping time to Hawaii being very long.
This means you have to drive to 100mph to get this problem? Not likely in Hawaii for that to happen.

its all fixed, it all happend with the Atlanta group, and for several of us was corrected very quickly. since PC is local to the US it made it very easy. it was not a milage thing but more a threshold limit thing... ask Randy he knows, seemed to happen on a hard throttle at high rev's, or something like that, the computer hit a algorythem that calculated over 100, so PC, got our maps again and saw the parm that had the error, I guess the ecu maps errors also and knew right off the bat what happend, its because of a softwear version thing, only certian versions will have this issue, and PC should have all of them. if not, it only takes a quick re-flash to fix, I'm pretty sure randy knows what to do so he can test each car, I dont think any PulleyParty guys need to worry about this anymore. I think thats what makes powerchip get such good reviews from randy, they push the limits all the way.

bottom line, just talk to Randy, he will make ya feel better.
