It was previously stated that the tool would come with a canned tune included so the $500 tune would be for a custom dyno tune.

Jan, I can pay 369 for the tool and still get the tune for $500. when I get that money saved right?

Or do I need all 869 right now

And please no comments from the gallery about if you cant afford it all dont buy it. I have a daughter and an ex wife to support.

Pretty sure the $500 is for the canned tune.

It does come with a canned tune. Just not sure if it is based on the mods you have or if it truly generic for any MINI.

No
$369. for the device shipped in US NO TUNE INCLUDED.
$500. for the tune made for your car with your mods. Dyno time not included
$869. total

or in Jans own words
Pricing is as follows

$369 shipped in the US
$500 for the tune

Normal pricing will be $515 shipped for the flash tool if you have to buy 1 off
Normal pricing for tune is $600

so this $246 one time saving is here..... get it now or don't complain later

you can reserve your spot by paypal

Exactly, 'cept I think that $500 is for a generic tune, which is still a good bump up from your stock tune. Go back to around the 5th or 6th page of this thread, Jan (and a few others) spell it out.

The quote I included from Jan was post #31 from this thread where he stated it comes with a generic canned tune. I believe the $500 tune is for a generic tune based on your mods.

I won't speculate further on this and will just wait for Jan to clear things up.

"generic" tune will be for the mods you have without squeezing every bit out of the car by dyno tuning the car

you do expect to get paid for work at your job............right?

OK, now I see, on page 6 he does clarify that any tune is priced separately from the tool itself. The earlier posts in the thread made it seem as if he was including a canned tune with the tool. It seems I needed to read through the whole thread instead of just the beginning portion as I interpreted those first posts to indicate that the canned tune was included with the tool price.

Same question. Money is a little tight right now. I figure if I get the tool at a discount I'll have no problem paying a few bucks more for the tune down the road.

So Jan - Can you provide a final explaination of how this will work. I think it would help answer many of the previous questions. As for me, I would like to know after I install this first version of the tune, what happens when you figure out more tuning potential (Version 2) ie VVT, etc. Secondly, how does having after market parts affect the tune? ie. do you just plug in higher allowances? Thanks!

YAHOOO!!! Thank you Jan. Only scared myself stiff a few times on the way home. One major problem with the tune is that I can't figure out how to get this stupid grin off my face and the bugs out of my teeth! Still LMAO.

PS: The fingernails may take awhile to grow back!

#38, Gilboyto. Paid you the 369 for the remote tuner only as I figured I will buy the $500 tune when I get an FMIC and some better mods...
