Newman or Shrick

HI,

Im wondering which camshaft is better. Which one will give better results? Why?

Newman has two: race/street. Which one? Why?


PS i dont usually track my car but i when i do take it for a spin i like to floor it.

Rmw/Newman better than Shrick hands down. Had both, or should I say all 3.
More tq, more HP

Street- Race depends on your needs and whats on your car.
No head - Street would be better

Newman cam for the street.
However if you get the schrick get an adjustable cam gear so you can dial it in.... I have seen good gains from doing this

I say find the best deal here on NAM.. I think their is a Shrick Cam going for $225. If money is not a issue>> I think you should check your driving habits and see where in the RPM band you tend to drive and then make your decision from their. All manufactures would give you a dyno sheet to compare HP and RPM range their cam is most effective at. Good luck

right now i have obx header, 17% alta pulley and belt, jcw replacement filter and alta inlet hose and a grs intercooler. I have about 200 whp... i tuned my car too.

RMW/Newman street should work better for you than the Shrick. More loer to mid range tq. Call Jan at RMW. I believe there is a few street cams on the market place from people who have moved up to the race version. JCW or Helix 380 injectors would also be needed.
