Drivetrain RMW Tuning Day in eastern Connecticut is on the Horizon around May 25-26, 2010
You can see what slots are empty on what days on the first page, so whichever you pick, Scott will lock you in for your day and time.

This RMW tuning event is close to being completely booked. If you are looking to get tuned around eastern, CT, RI or MA you should probably get your slot now before they are all gone.
You have roughly two months to get your MINI and money in order for the tune so don't hesitate if you are planning on this tune.

The master list is on the first page and you are all dialed in for 9:00am on the 27th.
Can spectators come and hang out? I'm still kinda on the fence with doing the tune or not. After doing the JCW stage 1 kit last year, I was wondering how much gain I woulld really get?
So I was wondering if there was anyone scheduled for tuning with similar power mods as me: R56 automatic + JCW stage 1 kit + FMIC + boost tubes & SS BOV?
And is raising the boost part of the tune? So if I'm pushing 12-13 lbs right now, what can I expect after the tune?
So I'd like to come one of the days and check out the fun.

Spectators are more than welcome to come!
If you go back through the Helix posts here https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...pr-10-a-6.html my dyno sheets are posted. I have a Stage One JCW kit on mine along with the ALTA FMIC, boost tubes, and a few other things and the results are AMAZING! You will not be disappointed...
The delta on the DYNO sheet for torque in some areas is +25 ftlbs and WHP is close to the same.

Tune is Cancelled. Will be rescheduled at a later date
Bad news folks! Due to a scheduling conflict beyond Jan’s control this tune is being cancelled. The plans are to reschedule at a later date. Don’t blame Jan as the scheduling issue is completely beyond his realm to control. If you have any questions send me a PM.
I'm looking for a graduation present for myself this summer. Am entering into the aftermarket tuning world. Is this an opportunity I should promptly take advantage of? What might I need to know about this 'tune'? Thanks
No worries
... I have a laptop and jack stands. Anyone who wants a tune can come to my garage and I will do it for less. We can raise the back (or is it the front) of the car off the ground. We don't need no stinkin dyno! I am sure I will be able to change some things on your ecu. Trust me, it will be fine.
OK, I'm going to come clean on this. The cancelling of the RMW tune in Norwich, CT was an elaborate ruse. :-X
I want to thank everyone who made this possible and also want to thank those that came out for the Group 4 Autosport guys.
I saw some very cool MINIs and also watched a 2005 R53 from New Jersey put down 206 WHP and 193 ft. lbs. of torque. This was even with his supercharger belt slipping. :-\ There was also a bone-stock R56 that picked up 30WHP!!
A little about the ruse.
The reason for the ruse is because someone has been working to damage Jan’s reputation and business. This has included calls to the EPA and California Air Resource Board (CARB). This on one occasion actually stopped a tune from occurring that some MINI folks had driven hundreds of miles to attend.
I have to say it’s a shame that someone feels the need to try and damage someone else’s business and jeopardize the livelihood of the entire automotive tuning industry.
I feel that this person’s efforts would be much better spent positively contributing to the MINI nation instead of threatening the competitive tuning industry
Even with the tune showing as cancelled online I was able to expand it to a fourth day just by word of mouth.
Again, thanks to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a HUGE MINI week in Connecticut.

We would just like to say thank-you to Scott for setting this up, and Jan for coming out and spending the week in Norwich. It was truly a pleasure to have so many members of the Mini community flock upon Norwich this week. I think everything went smoothly, and just a little on the fly re-scheduling to keep everything smoothly.
Thanks to all that showed up, we certainly appreciated the opportunity to host this event, and hope to see you all again at some point.
