anyone heard of CATCO highflow cats? any good?

Hi everyone,

i am contemplating a used aftermarket highflow race cat. it's a toss up between supersprint and catco (just been offered one).

however, i've not heard of catco before, even searching the forums turned up nothing.

does anyone here know if there is an appreciable performance disparity between using either of these two brands?

any pointers or feedback would be much appreciated by this noob.

cheers!

I would stick with magnaflow metallic cats or thunderbolt. Ive had first hand experience with those and random tech. The random tech separated from its housing. The magnaflow and the thunderbolt has held up in 330+whp turbo charged cars for 10's of thousands of miles (non-MINI but exhaust heat is the same)

Had a catco cat on a 240sx and the welds on the heatsheild broke off and it made a terrible rattling noise, the inside was fine thought.

thanks for the feedback so far.

yes it seems people have tried catco cats on other cars, not on minis yet.

I used one on my neon acr about 8-9 years ago and it was great, no problems and it still passed emissions so it did exactly what I wanted it to do.
