What are your shifting techniques...for a aftermarket clutch/flywheel?
I know there's already a thread about shifting techniques and it's great. But I was wondering what people's technique were for an aftermarket clutch and flywheel. Specifically aftermarket clutches that bite harder and flywheels that are lighter then stock.
I know for for most aftermarket clutch/flywheels, it's not as easy to start off in 1st gear. In my experience, the biting point is very slim precise, too little gas and the car stalls or stumbles to a start. Too much gas, and you'll slip it too much and risk roasting it. What are your shifting techniques to get the car going in 1st gear?

Carefully. The good thing about aftermarket clutches they will put up with a lot more abuse so if you ride it out it won't be as much of a big deal. Also a lot of the bite from clutches do come from the pressure plate. I had a Clutchmasters Stage 2 in my last car with a Fidenza lightwieght flywheel, it was fun driving it in traffic or up hill because I had to rev it up more to get into gear. So if this is your DD be perpared to have a hard time driving it around but, when it comes to performance it is awesome and when I get a chance I will be doing it to the MINI.
