FMIC ?s

HI,

So long story short is I am driving 2 days worth to my Father's where he has his own lift to help with installs So i want to make the best of the opportunity.

I am looking into purchasing the Forge FMIC. I just have some very basic questions on if i need anything else while i have the car apart.

I was looking into the Samco hose kit to install as well. Is this a must have for performance/reliability? or just engine bay eye candy? or am i just good with stock hoses, etc?

Are there any other items that you would suggest for upgrades while i have it on the lift, etc... You can see in my sig what i have done. I know i need to see Jan that will eventually happen.

thank you, and happy holidays!!

Jason

there are lots and lots of posts about this kinda stuff... you already have the turboback so that's part of big power unlock, IC and tune are next, boost tubes are mostly eye candy, maybe MAYBE will give you 1hp on their own... but from what i understand and what has been on many threads is that boost tubes are basically just an eye candy, though hardpiping is very nice... to my knowledge NM and Exhaust Depot make hardpiping. NM gets rid of the noise maker completely (making a closed system relying on the electronic recirc valve on the turbo... which is pretty damn reliable).

thats basically the sum up of a good 40 threads

Well for the hose kit and the intercooler you won't need a lift but for the exhaust you will and even at that you really don't need one. Hose and intercooler installs are not very difficult and you could do them on a weekend easily. You know you could even fo the exhaust pretty easily. The MINI is not very hard to work on.

Yeah, the lift is at my Father's shop so there is no cost to me. A good reason to go see family and some bonding

I got the exhaust installed awhile back. Nice improvement on power/sound. Anyone install the Riss CO2 sim??? I need this now.
