Require opinions on ACT Clutch & Flywheel on R53

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to know if anyone is running the ACT Clutch (Heavy Duty Clutch Kit with Performance Street Discs) and the ACT Flywheel (Streetlite XACT Flywheel). If yes, how do you like it so far? If not running it, have you heard anything good or bad about this combo?

Need to replace my clutch soon, due to noticable slipping. And while the clutch is being replaced, might as well change the flywheel. I've got a 2002 MCS with 105,000 kms on it.

Had an ACT Clutch on my previous 2000 Honda Prelude and loved it. Friction point was noticably shorter than stock and you felt it engage fast and strong! There's a lot of Clutchmaster Clutch and Flywheel MINI owners out there, but not so many ACT MINI Owners.

Thank in advance for your replies!

I think Dr. Obnoxs has been running an ACT set-up for quite some time.

PM him!

Anymore likes or dislikes from the drivers that have the ACT clutch and flywheel combo?

Did more research on the net regarding the clutch jobs , is it true whenever you change the clutch you should always change the master slave cylinder since it being plastic, the pressure of a performance clutch might cause slave cylinder issue thenafter?

Cheers!

I've replaced the slave 3 times so far, it is a faily inexpensive part. I am interested in the act stuff as well, as I just can not get my fx600 to work no matter what I try....if I pull it one more time it will not be going back in.
