I have not ordered from either of them before but use them from time to time to check part numbers.

I'll double check the model number tomorrow. I went with this plug because my local shop here in the Philippines recommended that. The car is running fine so I dont think they installed the wrong plugs
I have been reading up about the HKS spark plug. It looks similar to the NGK and Denso Iridium plugs we see a lot more here in the US.
I did find a reference in a vendor site that cross lists that plug to the R56 MCS but it is not on the HKS site.

I believe NGK is the one making the plugs for HKS. The ones installed in my unit is colder than the stock plugs. I feel the engine runs smoother after changing the plugs. Specially on low RPM
It is a HKS designation for heat range. No idea what it means and how it relates to NGK or Denso. Could not find a cross reference table.
i am looking for sparkplugs too, and i found denso finally has it listed, but only in JP site -

According to Denso USA, the part number is K22PBR-S for the John Cooper Works. I filtered using model year 2009.
I would also check with Bavarian Autosport, because they only have the NGK ILZKBR7A-8G for the Cooper S.

No idea about the Denso's. Why don't you try contacting them, either via phone or e-mail? You probably could have had your question answered by now. It took about an hour for Bavarian to respond back to me about the JCW plugs.
The NGK's for the Cooper S and JCW (second gen) are indentical.
Also, what are you trying to accomplish with the colder plugs? Are you turning up the boost or have some serious engine mods? For a stock motor, the NGK's are fine.

The Cooper S and the JCW share the same exact plugs. They were 1 degree colder on the R53 JCW, so make sure you're looking at the right things.
