yes. I have the DDM race intake. The only spot I found that made any contact with the brace bar was the DDM intake extension piece. Its the metal extender piece that connects right after the 90 degree bend in the intake hose. I put a piece of felt on it to stop the contact. The kind you put under funiture feet to stop them from scratching your floor. Its smaller than a dime.

I'll have to take one for a tomorrow morning. Its an extremely easy bolt on. I'll take pics of the engine bay, and the felt tab I put on the extension piece.

Hitting MAF with JCW Intake

Did any one else have this problem with the STB hitting the MAF sensor when using the JCW Intake?

Mine also rubs on the stock R55 intake.

It also rubs on the DDMworks hood scoop.

So does it cause any problems, I have had it on for only a couple for days, not sure if I need to worry about it.

Can't you turn the position of the MAF a little bit? You can in an MC.

Not sure if it will cause a problem but I did not like it rubbing. Over time it may be an issue. It is hard to believe it was not tested on a stock engine. It looks good but poor fit. I plan on going to the JCW tuning kit next spring so it is good to know it will not fit with that intake either. I also have one for sale if anyone is interested.

Has anyone contacted the manufacturer to see if he can make a minor change in the bar. I bet they'd like to see the pic's of the problem.

I wish it would, but it is in a fixed position.

I finally heard back from GTSPEC and they said that they only tried the Bar on a JCW not with a JCW Intake so did not know it wouldn't clear. They suggested I try 2MM washers, but I had already done that and it still didn't clear. They also suggested since it might break the MAF, to take the bar off.

I guess that means it won't fit and I am out the price I paid for the Bar, no wonder everyone is selling theirs.

That sucks, you can pretty much turn it 360 degrees on an MC.

I just put mine on last night. I had a problem with the MAF being in the way so all I did was loosen it up and rotated it and tightened it back down and it fit with no problem. Fits good and I wish I could test it thoroughly but it has been raining all day.

That's great, but that won't work with the JCW Intake it only goes on in one position and cannot be rotated.
