Cusco LSD + CM FX300 clutch / flywheel impressions

I had my Cusco LSD installed along with the Clutch Masters Fx300 Kevlar clutch + flywheel done by Helix in Philly a couple weeks ago.

The parts now have just over 1000 miles on them and the clutch has been properly bedded in as per directions.

The car is much more fun through corners and on / off ramps now, it is much easier to steer using the throttle, you can feel the car transition as you feather the throttle through curves. It is great to floor it in 2nd through an on / off ramp and feel the car really bite down and pull through the ramp. The Cusco also locks up on decel and has helpes make the car much more sure footed on heavy braking on bumpy road surfaces.

The clutch is buttery smooth and very quick on the take up, it engages firmly, to the point that when running through the gears hard, I can chirp 1st, 2nd , 3rd very easily however the DCS will engage and bog the car - this never happened with the stock clutch. Problem solved by turning the DSC off - lol. The lightened flywheel really livens up the motors response rev matching is much easier and the car doesn't feel as bogged down off idle as it used to.

All in all a great combo.

The Cusco clutch was sourced from RMW, the Clutchmasters clutch / flywheel were sourced through Helix.

Congrats - does it spool up quicker with the new flywheel ?

I both look forward to and dread the day I kill the OEM clutch in ours

The engine definitely is more responsive and eager to rev.

Yes there is flywheel chatter @ idle. However it is not significant enough to bother me.
