On a side note...while we wait....any turbo guru's want to explain the difference between a GT28R, GT28RS, and GT2871R?

I have heard that the GT28R and GT2540R are nearly the same...so where does that put the GT2560R that XaLia is using?

Anyone have a good site with the specs of all the Garrett turbos?

**edit: spose I should have checked the Garrett website as a start...the GT2560R is the same thing as the GT28R, just the new name. The Garrett website is actually a wealth of knowledge. If anyone wants to impress everyone else with their turbo knowledge...feel free to continue to explain the differences of the above turbos though!

 

sorry guys but we are into problems today the ecu doesnt whant to go into open loop at full trottel so it doesnt want to read the new map we need to sort out that glich

It was never going to happen in under a day. All the tuners here in the UK who can remap these ecu's told me at the start of the year they would need my car for 2 days maximum to get it all setup correctly so im assuming it will be longer for you guys.

 

It's about to be Thursday.

its back to the drawing board car run good up to 16 psi no problem we pulled 268 at the wheels with no meth but over that there is a lot of problems going on,so its going to take more time about 3 weeks to get it to run at 20psi

Yup. My car makes 268whp on the stock turbo, but you can't see charts either.

Mtuning3 WHY DON'T YOU EVER GO INTO DETAIL ABOUT ANYTHING? GOOD LORD! You say you're having "problems" over 16psi, what problems, whats going on? Try to HELP the community not surround us in a fog of one liners.

Telling us what results when your ENTIRELY done would be interesting but we want to know everything that happens step-by-step, The problems you've encountered as your project progresses.

By just telling us your results without stating the problems you encountered is not beneficial to those wanting to build a similar project.

 

I just want to know how I am suppose to know what 268 feels like? If you want to meet up this week or next and some me a graph, thats something different. If you don't want it posted, I can at least give these guys answers like yes, he's telling the truth because if you did get 268 than thats not something to be ashamed of!
