It'll probably get louder, and it may get a bit tinnier sounding, due to insulation burning out (if it has/uses insulation for sound dampening).
The turbo (and cats) do most of the sound dampening, you can run pretty much a straight pipe from the downpipe back and it still doesn't get crazy loud or high pitched.

I had the real supersrint exhaust like this on my old car. If yours sounds as good as mine did, you are gonna love it! nice pop but no drone at all! if it only cost you 350 then anyone with a 53 should have it.

I have an R56. I'm loving this exhaust so far, it has gotten a bit louder but it has a great sound. I still can't believe this thing is only 275 on eBay.

Performance gains?

I'm looking at getting a JCW rear section but for the cost I might as well go this route.
Any performance gains noticed!?

I'm pretty sure the gains from any catback are pretty negligible regardless of what manufacturer's claims are...sooo to answer your question maybe a little but its mainly for a better sound and greatly improved look. I'm very impressed by the weld quality and so far its holding up great. If you're really looking for improved power you've already got the fmic which would give you the greatest bang for your buck and next would be a tune imo

Hey everybody. I have a good amount on engine mods already on my car and the only thig besides chip tune intercooler and a fatter turbo is the exhaust. I have the uncatted OBX downpipe and im about to order the rest of it sometime around friday. I havent installed it yet cuz im waiting for the full exhaust. I like the sound of the catback but Im a kid and i like alittle more "loud" and im assuming with the catless DP and the resonator removed from the catback its gonna b significantly louder (especially with my current mods and considering you can her my car from a half mile away and i dont even have an exhaust haha). Im looking forward to geting my exhaust and Ill get a vid up once the full system is installed.

It looks like you've already spent a lot of money on mods. All you really needed was a tune, and if you want max hp, a tune + an intercooler.
All the mods in the world don't add up to jack all without a tune and most of the mods don't even impact the power you can get out of a tune. How are you even running a catless DP without a tune ?

And probably no HPDE days yet - the biggest speed mod. Sorry to sound like a downer, but it is so true. Maybe I'm wrong, in that he may have some HPDE's under his belt.

I remember my days in the "5 point license club." No more!

Here's a hint, since dropping the word tune a dozen times doesn't seem to have gotten through. Skip the exhaust, sell the catless DP, and use your money for a tune, otherwise you're going to have an obnoxiously loud and slow car with a constant CEL and the ecu that will probably give you additional problems.

Trust me man I understand that I obviously need to get a tune for my car. I do not have money for a tune I'm a student I need to scrap together $700 for a tune I know that. But for now I can only work with what I have.
