I have a 2005 mini cooper s and I want to change the transmission fliud.my mini has a LSD (factory one). I am thinking to replace the transmission fluid with the REDLINE one and to be more specific with the RL-MTL-946. Is this fluid ok for a mini cooper s with LSD? How much oil do I need? 2or 3 bottles?

 

i finally decided to use the MTF-94 factory oil and the way it behaves is very good...the next time i d like to use the redline MT-90.... if not i ll do the same i did now...

Through my email with Redline, they recommended MTL for the Getrag 6spd manual. However in their ads, it listed MT90 as direct replacement for all BMW late models.

I'm installing my LSD in a month or so, will use MTL and see what happens.

BTW: Anybody knows the spec on factory MTF-94?

 

Here is a thread on RL MTL. It seems to work well in our cars.
