Happy Camper!

I picked up my 2008 S yesterday in Salt Lake City, and drove it home 350+ miles. I calculated 35 mpg driving 70-90 mph and using the A/C 40% of the time. I must say I am impressed with the 08 models as Mini has refined a lot of the features found in earlier models. I love the 6 speed manual, the car feels smother and quieter than my 06 Mini non S. The lighting is much better, turn signal function is great, lots of little details that are refined and make the experience more fun. These are great cars indeed! I had my windows tinted with a ceramic tinting that rejects more heat than traditional tinting. I had the sun roof tinted with 5% tint which takes all the glare from the sun out of my eyes. The sun roof wind screen is much quietier than previous models too. The leather seats were well worth the extra money. I was impressed that the cars were delivered in a covered car trailer.

2008 S Dark Grey/black roof, sun roof, DSC, cold weather, comfort access, Antrhracite headliner, LSD, White turn signals. I'm adding a Mini Do More tow hitch.

Congrats on your purchase!

You probably should have posted this in the 2nd gen section as opposed to the 1st gen Modifications > Drivetrain section.
