Attached is a pic of the new JCW engine. Can someone take a look at the pic and tell me if the red arrows are correct for the way air flows in and out of the engine. Thanks.

I don't think so.
The one on the turbo from the turbo --> IC should be going the other direction i believe...
Thanks for sharing. I've been trying to find a good picture of the prince turbo engine and this is the best I've seen yet.
Yeah, I just found it today. It's the '09 JCW Engine. There are a few subtle differences between it and the regular Cooper S engine as far as the air flow. I was just trying to figure out the direction of the air in general.
The Airflow arrows are correct. The only obvious difference between this engine and the stock R56 MCS engine I see is the compressor inlet tube appears to have a very slightly different profile.
The backside of the exhaust heat-shield is in the picture. It's sandwiched between the exhaust manifold and the cylinder head and wraps around the backside of the cat and manifold. It's very tough to see in this picture. The 2nd part of the shield is not pictured, as it hides the turbine and catalytic converter.
Question... The intake into that airbox isn't CAI? It pulls the hot air from the engine compartment into the inlet where the right-most arrow is pointing? (show in post 1 & 8)
The R56's have an outside air source that sits next to the drivers headlight. It connects where the arrow is over the flywheel. That piping is missing in the picture.
