200whp

I am looking to make about 200whp on my mini and I was wondering what is the least expensive and safest way to do so. I have a K&N cai, alta 2.5" exhaust, 15%pulley, and giac ecu software. I was thinking maybe megan header and weld on a cat, maybe jcw injectors, or new ic. What do you think would be the best way of obtaining 200whp?

Do you know what you have now? Would let you know how much of a leap you need to make 200.

How much is not alot?
Thumper does heads at very reasonable rates just over $1000 USD
That would get you over 200whp easy

Well, my two cents, which counts for nothing, is try a header. I don't think the IC will help that much. If you went to a dyno day, plunked down a few bucks you could see from the AFR reading what the tune and injectors are doing(if you are leaning out at redline).
My car was a stock JCW 210, the OBX header made a significant butt dyno gain. There are other headers available as well, look around and see what you needs/budget are.

Custom Dyno tune would work wonders. Header would work more wonders, and a head would work even better. Depends on your budget.

For the hell of it, if you have 195 wHP now, what's so significant about having 200 whp? 5hp?

If you don't want to get a head then go headers and tune

You have all the mods you need right now to be very close to or break 200WHP. Just get an appointment with Dr. Jan for a good ECU tune. You may be borderline for a set of 380 injectors but I believe you are on the safe side.
The tune will probably run you $350 plus dyno time.

My question is how much farther do you want to go? this will determine what you do next.

If you just want to break 200hp - get a custom tune. I ran GIAC and then a custom tune and the difference is significant. I also run an OBX header, not much top end gain but a nice TQ gain.

Strong car then, cause the pulley is really the only thing on there that's going to give you any significant gain in HP. Exhaust, header, and CAI are likely responsible for less than a 7 wHP gain.

go to a dyno first and see where u stand. I am at 192whp with just an alta cai, and 15% pulley. I was at 173whp with just the intake, i went back to the same dyno and got the additional 19whp from the pulley. I just installed 2.5 alta stealth exhaust. Will be going soon to see if that put me over the 200 mark.

See what I mean. I have all that and more and I wasn't close to 200. But not saying anything bad about your car SnYpR , you may have a strong engine to start with .

I've seen a lot of Minis on the dyno. I have seen very few that break 190 whp - let alone 200 with simple bolt on mods and canned tunes.

It appears that quite a few people have gotten some uncharacteristically strong cars out of the box.
