Has anyone figured out how to replace the fuel filter yet without breaking the canister?

 

nevermind, should have checked the stock problems /issues section first, not just search here

 

Give me a head start? Where is this canister and how did you open it? Thanks!

No problem!
And when you do change the filter, you may want to wear a full haz-mat suit. The black goo from the filter and the canister gets everywhere!

Oh! And pull the fuel pump relay, start the car and then let it die. Reduces the pressure so fuel doesn't spray all over when disconnecting the line from the tank.

edit: Doh! You mean the fuse right?

 

Thanks Jim, thats the exact spot I ended up finding the how-to. Its rather simple, just trying to be clean about it was my only downfall.
