Hey, Lets not pick on Bruce too much. He's only speaking from experience!
>>Looks like a bomb to me. Don't you need to have plaqcards on the car stating you have a compressed bottle in the boot?? Little much, does it cook rice to??

Anyway, Welcome M7. Look forward to hearing more about your upcoming products. Most important thing is to make happy customers.

>>You got it all wrong....I did not ask anyone to speak up for my products, as a matter of fact my MO has been mums the word just ask Randy. I could have spouted BS for months promissing all sort of crap buuuuttttt......I have been working on solutions to make the Mini experience more fun instead of hanging out online. >>>

Peter,

I'm sure you are completely aware of the fact that your average MINI customer is internet and information savvy. I would suggest that you stick with your "MO" until your website and products are indeed ready, and then enjoy the props and the profit from there. Everyone in the MINI community likes new products that allow us to futher increase the individuality and performance of our cars, and if you truely have innovative new idea for this car, and treat your customers with the respect they deserve, you will be successful. Randy in my opinion is the model for this type of businessman, and he's quite sucessful for it. I always learned in my business from the people that had the sucess that I desired...

I hope this might give you some insight. Playing up to attacks and being defensive is definitly not the way to earn my respect and $. That said, I wish you good luck and I look forward to learning more about what you have to offer us all.

Ben

Because customers are an inherently fickle and unforgiving bunch. They want everything now. You know how we all drool about the 04-05 models of whatever car. The problem is that product devo takes a while. I don't even do dev anymore and it still takes a while to arrange deals/logistics. What happens is if you let your customer base know too soon about a product, they get antsy, start talking crap and you end up with this BS. The professional way to do it is to keep completely quiet about it. If someone asks you what you are up to, "We're just working on some stuff," until the release is boxed up and ready to go. I understand the excitement of a new product especially with a new car. No offense, but I would suggest that M7 and anyone affiliated with his company just keep their mouths shut until everything is complete. While it is true that there is no such thing as bad publicity, a properly run PR schedule can optimize the results.

Yah, looks pretty interesting. I might just have to check that out along with the Stack cluster. I was considering putting that in my other project.

I never said you had NO products. I said don't breathe a word about upcoming products until they're ready. And strangle anyone that you trusted with pre-release information that leaks it inadvertently.

So what does this STACK dash tell you? Can it display some temps/etc. in the small screen below the tach? If so, that would be ideal. Would you mind sending me some more info on it to tgmilner@earthlink.net?

Thanks
Tom

No worries...Peter and I have been speaking for a couple of weeks and he is joining MCO as a sponsor. From what he has told me there will be some very interesting things coming out of M7.
