DMH/Wegner GP

I just had the best drive home, I picked up my GP today after Don @ DMH did the finishing touches to my GP.
Behe performance had installed and tuned the DMH Wegner head as well as installing the cross competion coilovers, that Don supplied.
There was an issue with the Stahl header and Magnaflow catback, I think I read correctly that some one else also had a similar problem, but still the car produced 239whp.
Don has had my car since the end of last week, he went through my car and fixed all the minor quirks like the oil catch, as well as installing water/methanol injection, a new header/catback, harnesses, Ferodo 2500 pads, race leads and plugs.
I don't know what the whp is now but it is very fast and drives incredible.
I can't wait for Watkins Glen this weekend to see what it can really do.

Will do, I hope to be there by Friday afternoon.
The Data sheets did not come up with the car, when I get them I'll post them.
I intend to get the car dynoed again now that the exhaust is straightened out and I have the meth injection installed.

I'm thinking about going to the Miami MTTS, depends on how busy work gets, if I do I'll let you know.
Did the MCS you drove have Johns fuel system on it?

Nice Gary, sounds like you're ready to rip The Glen a new one.
Sorry I missed you at the Litchfield run, i'll catch up with you at the next event.
I'll be heading down to see John for a tune after the head goes on.

It's an oversized valve, reworked, Extrude Honed, flow tested, JCW casting.

To bad your not at the Glen next week with the BMW club. We could have hooked up with our GP's. Let me know what you think about the Cross setup and your settings. Going to install mine after the Glen. Little bit to busy to get mine done. Have fun - be safe. Maybe we can catch up in Sept if you go to O'fest. Nice car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What will the Extrude Honed do for the head? Doesn't it leave a polished finish which most (if not all) of the top head guys stopped doing long ago?

Interesting choice in a head otherwise.

Glad to hear about your success. Good luck getting your dyno results though. For months, I have asked repeatedly for a copy of mine and have not yet received the best and final run.

The technical question's are better off answered by Don @ DMH, he would be able to give you more specific details than me.

I hope to have the 1st set soon, I'm going to get it dynoed again to see how it ended up after Don had finished with it (the methanol & new exhaust).

The Extrude Hone abrasive media is able to reach all the places a human or a CNC can't.

I was a machinist for a number of years and understand the Extrude Hone process very well. It a very efficient way of deburring parts.

My question was about it leaving a polished finish. Did you port your head and then Hone or Hone and then port? Or, did you just Hone and add bigger valves?

The ports were gasket matched, then the head was ported, then Extrude Honed to "finish" it off. It's not quite polished, but not rough either.

This pic from the website shows the finish...
