Tuning results with new head

Loving my "new" car. With the installation of Jan's parts and tune, here is where I stand. It has transformed my car...
Only problem is that I still want more. Is that normal?

Here is a comparison of mine vs. a non RMW head/exhaust car.
I believe that it had a 15%, intake and catback

Did you do the install or have Jan do it?

Mind giving a general price of the parts? You did the head, cam and header?

Glad to your shipment arrived on time and everything worked out .

Looks like a real nice TQ curve you have. It's funny how there are still people that think because the RMW head is a big valve head it only produces power up top. Can you explain to those you haven't experienced the linear power band of this set up what it feels like???

For me the down low TQ was huge.

Great result.

I love the gain that goes all across the board, awesome.

The result from camshaft, head, full exhaust system and tune is very consistant. I think your number is pretty closed to PGT (He's got almost the same mods as yours).

Well it pulls, and pulls, and pulls... any rpm. Yes more torque down low and roughly 20% increase from 4500 rpm to redline. Totally transforms how the car feels. The exhaust is a bit on the loud side for highway drives but you can't beat the sound on full throttle. When on the dyno it definitely was not the loudest...
O.K i've had the cam/head/exhaust for over a week, the tune for a couple of days, what's next...

Get RMW's Laminova water to air set up. Other then that there isn't much more you can do that's going to give you noticeable gains with the stock 1.6L and the Eaton.

This setup is showing fairly consistent #'s. I'm right in the same range at 242 whp and 201 ft/lb. Along with the gobs of TQ from 3 - 7k RPM this setup is capable of providing.

Jan. Do you give tours of your shop? I'm just in San Diego and would love to come watch a tune and check out the shop.

Sorry to thread jack.

To you all who have had the tune, would you recoment bolting on everything you will ultemately want and then doing the tune? I someday plan to get a head and other goodies. Thought it would be a better idea to do the tune after thats all on.

this was a RMW car against a RMW tuned 15% car
so what you are seeing is delta's between tuned cars with differences of adding RMW parts ... in this case 43whp and 32 ft lbs of torque at redline
most say big valves kill low end torque.....
maybe their big valve head kills torque... but ours doesn't

if you are still there, give me a ring. There's a place you need to stop, tomorrow, in town, if you have time (my mom is from there).
