K&N Filter for Dinan Intake (Part Number?)

I've searched and searched and can't seem to find any posts with the part number for a K&N replacement filter for the Dinan intake for my 05 MCS. Does anyone out there have the correct part number?

Thanks!!!

You can actually get the same filter from Dinan:
http://www.dinancars.com/store/Repla...62-p-3723.html

However, I would purchase a filter you can clean, such as cotton fiber or what-have-you.

I don't believe K&N makes the style of filter that is used in the Dinan.

I know that K&N makes a filter that will fit the Dinan intake, I just don't have the part number. I do not want to purchase another Dinan filter since I can't clean it as you mentioned. I found a foam filter that will fit, but I'd rather have a K&N filter.

Then I suggest you find out what the dimensions are for the DINAN (call or check packaging; whichever is easiest), then use K&N's "search by dimensions" feature.

I went with the ITG for Dinan. I have used ITG in my cars for the last few years and I like them better than the K&N.

RU-1460 K&N.

I like the ITG filter better.

I bought one from a person on NAM, don't know the number.

Minspeed carries the ITG replacement filter for the Dinan intake:

TampaMCS: Pete at Minspeed sold me an ITG that fits my intake perfectly. Call him.

The RU-1460 K&N is certainly inexpensive. How do you wash the ITG, just hose it off? Tough decision, but I might need to pick one up this weekend. Recommendations?

I'm super intereseted as well in which is better, ITG or K&N, as I'm about a week away from needing my original dinan replaced.

Both filters have their fans and haters.
Personally, I use the ITG in my JCW Intake box. I figure if they're good enough for a Cosworth DFV in a Historic Formula 1 car, they're good enough for my MINI!

As one who has tried both, I prefer the ITG.

i think i read somewhere that you should change it every 20k? but of course thats totally subjective since it depends where/how you drive the car.

Dinan website says 30k I think.
One point ...the Itg filter is a custom made part....made for Minspeed.net, and they are closeing soon. I have been debating getting one before they are gone as it appears the K&N filter is much smaller since it has a stright neck....hense the need for a smaller diameter and length to make it fit.
