Drivetrain Alternator Pulley Removal
I added the Sprint Booster recommendation as an attempt at humor since it is a contentious topic at the moment. At least the SB effect can be experienced perceptually whereas the larger alternator pulley cannot.
There are two reasons to replace the crankshaft bolt, one is because of possible bolt stretch and the other is because it comes with OEM spec threadlocker applied. Do not use anti/seize on the bolt, if you feel safer with threadlocker then apply the blue compound; be sure to clean both threads with brake cleaner before applying while avoiding over spray on the seal.
Since the front end is off this would be a good opportunity to change the supercharger’s oil, https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...t=74674&page=3 post #71.
