Water/meth install

I am going to order a water/meth kit with a trunk mount tank.
My question is...
Is 15 foot of hose enough to run from the trunk or I should I get 20?
I am going to go stainless so if I can get away with 15 it will be a bit cheaper.
Thanks

I have no idea how much I used. My kit uses two lines. One for boost and the other for water. Why are you going stainless? It's kinda over kill.

i'll say this much, if you live where it gets cold you may wanna run the lines in the cabin along the kick panel under the carpet as some others have done . i just started running a higher concentration of meth to water so don't know yet ,but a while back i was running windsheild washer and water and i could swear the stuff was freezing .

I ran my lines inside the cockpit , along the left hand drivers side , the same route we used for the NOS. I run 100% meth and if you think stainless is over the top I don't know what to say. I've seen some cheese ball systems using windshield water bottles and plastic lines but if one of those lines gives way for any number of reasons, say abrasion, you are going to be in a world of hurt. Also if you track the car and have a roll over you may have wish you invested in a fuel cell with proper venting. If the fumes don't get you the possible ensuing fireball may . I will try to post some photos and find my order form to see how long my line was. My cell is just about where the right hand rear passenger would sit if there was a seat

I know this isn't any help in answering your question but I just wanted to ask if there is another choice instead of methanol injection?

I picked up my Miata today from the dyno. I filled the one gallon methanol tank in my trunk (used HEET and water 50/50 split).

Point is, I drove back about 15 miles. I went into boost ONCE and by the time I got back to the shop, I had used 1/5 of the gallon of meth.

THAT'S RIDICULOUS.... That was a 15 mile trip. What would happen if I was driving for the day or going to the dragon?

I'm not dissing your choice but I wish I had stuck with the 5th injector I originally started using.

Thank God I'm putting it up for sale....

I just used the rubber hoses because i ran it under the car with the main harness on the driver side. You are going to want something that is flexable because i had to do some crazy manuvering.

I found my order form and the hose for my install was 13ft 2 inches. The photo below should give you some idea of the cell location. Mine comes on at about 8 lbs and is progressive . I use about a third of a gallon of meth in a full day of driving .

Randy, awesome ride! I can't help but think about what would go through a cop's mind if he/she pulled you over. My money is on "There's sooo much stuff in there, somethin's gotta be illegal!" LOL

The cells are made to order and have a low level warning sensor installed as well.

Yep,..... like I said, no dissing anyone's choice, I just know that I'm getting into the same garbage I hate....

Kinda like NOS. I'd rather have a supercharger than never runs out than NOS that needs to be refilled or turned on....

My .02 worth.

as long as the car was not tuned for water/meth - running out is not an issue.

The funny thing is in all the times I have been pulled over in the last 5 years only one time was the NOS spotted. Of course I do not open the hatch .

I agree.... water/meth injection is to be used as an enhancement, not to rely on.

I just hate the fact that you have to keep filling the tank up.

Just bear in mind that the pump is housed in the center of the tank so while it it looks pretty big - it holds 1.5 gallons. From a design perspective I think its a really nice kit.

Coolingmist offers a 6 gallon tank but it might be a bit much for the Mini. http://www.coolingmist.com/detailmain.aspx?pid=1371

On that note any "tank" could be used for w/m.
