R56 Catback LBS.

I weighed my Alta Catback today ... everything: pipe, hardware, and muffler, weighed in at 28.6 lbs. Does anyone know what the Factory System weighs, and is this heavy for an exhaust?

My stock exhaust weighed 26lbs. The Alta weights more because of the heavy duty tubing and of course going up to 3" tubing there is more of it.

The stock cat-back is really only 26 pounds? 25 of those pounds must be in the rear muffler!

Hmm, good thing we get a nice performance boost HUH!!!! After seeing the coupler adapter, I now am VERY motivated to buy the downpipe. This is a huge size increase!!! The New(er) ALTA 3in sure is PURDY, however, I think Ill pull it from my living room and install it today

Well its on, OMG this was the MOST EASY MOD I HAVE EVER DONE!!!!!!
Heck it took me 1 hour, I took my time to get the exact fit, I had so much extra time I took in the scenery of the under carriage After market Coilovers would be nice.
She will be back on the lift next month for the downpipe, Adam will I need any type of additional pipe besides the downpipe, Stupid question but I guess what Im asking is when I get my downpipe, it will simply just bolt up after removing the stock to catback coupler RIGHT?...make sense?
