Supersprint catback exhaust for an R56 MCS???

I'm considering getting a Supersprint (rather a Milltek or Borla, etc.), exhaust, principally to enhance, deepen and make a bit louder the sound of my JCW Stage I exhaust.

Any thoughts, opinions or experience with a Supersprint catback would be much appreciated.

Don't even bother with any of those other brands. Get an ALTA cat back or turbo back and call it a day.

Top notch exhaust that makes awesome power, sounds terrific, and you won't find a performance company on Earth with better customer service than them.

I must say i'm extremely happy with my turbo back system from Alta, even the welds are almost to pretty to have them hidding under your car! Great fit and finish, worth the money if you ask me...

Have any of you seen / heard any R56 exhaust other than the Alta? I'm not saying the Alta isn't good, but if that's all you've experienced other than stock...

sorry if I'm trailing off topic from your question like everyone else but just an idea: rather than replace the JCW Cat-back you paid for, how about adding the Alta downpipe? I think you would just need to have them throw in the adapter to shrink the pipe down to the JCW pipe size after the last Cat. This way you would definitely add deeper and louder sound and get a very noticeable power gain. I only have the Alta product so I can't comment on the other systems other than to say they're definitely (at least on R53) very well loved here on the forums.

Thanks for your very creative suggestion, which I hadn't thought of at all. Since my primary goal is to enhance the sound, maybe that would be enough.

After writing the above, however, I went to Alta's website where the "compatibility note" for their R56 downpipe (w/CAT) says "will not work with OEM catback exhaust." Assuming the JCW catback is the same size as the stock Mini exhaust with just a different muffler, it may not be as easy as you suggest.
I'm going to e-mail Adam at Alta and see whether he can implement your very good suggestion!!

What effect, if any, do you believe also adding Alta's turbo boost tube might have on enhancing and
deepening my exhaust sound?

The instructions that came with the downpipe are geared toward installing it with the Alta Cat-back exhaust but it mentions reversing the adapter to use the downpipe with an OEM Cat-back exhaust. I know that adapter did not come with the down-pipe (it comes with the catback exhaust) so it would need to be added but I am positive it will work with the OEM exhaust, and also the JCW exhaust if it is the same diameter. Definitely check with Adam to be sure.

I put the Alta Cat-back exhaust on my car first and while it was definitely deeper and more audible than stock, when I added the downpipe it became much deeper and louder with more of a difference between catback and turboback than stock to catback. It's not very loud in the cabin at idle or cruising although outside you clearly hear the low rumble. It really announces it's presence during hard acceleration or going uphill. The HP increase is also clearly noticeable and again felt like it jumped more going from catback to turboback than stock to catback. Maybe Adam knows someone that has done this combo and can comment more on the sound.

Thanks, FugitiveAI

Your latest detailed response is both very clear and logical. When I get some info. from Adam (at Alta) on your suggestion, I'll post it either on this thread or another one.

Actually, if Adam agrees that your suggestion is feasible, I'm sure he's smart enough to see another (albeit probably small) market segment for his R56 downpipes, i.e., JCW engine kit owners who want to enhance sound and/or power without just throwing away their JCW muffler!!
