Drivetrain Adding A Cat To An Ultrik Header
Adding A Cat To An Ultrik Header
Hello. I recently purchased a used Ultrik header w/o a catalytic converter and was wondering what is the best way to add a cat to it. I was thinking about cutting the flex joint off, leaving me room to add a cat to the end. I know some aftermarket headers don't have flex joints, so is it safe to do this
Another way I was thinking of adding the cat would be to remove the flex joint and move it up to the first O2 bung/nut/thingy, just like the Ultrik headers with the cat, then adding the cat right after it. The only problem I have with that way is with the last bend in the header after the first O2 hole... will the flex joint have enough "flex" in it to compensate for the bend?It looks like it does on the catted version. Please help me out guys, I'm driving my brain crazy trying to figure this out. Thanks
