I have picked up the part from Home Depot, and it looks like it would work very well. I have 3 of them here, LEt me know if you would like me to send you one to see how it works. If it works well, I will provide this part at no extra cost to the people in this group buy.

Post here if you want, and I will get in contact with you regarding this.

Thanks
Dan

After 200 miles on my twister intake, I have a few observations that you may want to know about.

1. The rubber flex coupler has recesses on each end for the clamp. I cut that recess off of one end so the clamp would have better purchase on the rubber coupler.

2. Peel back the metal coil wire so your clamp is not pinching it. I noticed the wire on mine had come out from under the fabric on the outside of the clamp

3. The top of the ducting is wearing on the inside of the bonnet. I think the only way to remedy this is to remove the resonater box. Ivan, I think you said you removed yours. You should be clear of any rubbing.

4. There is a wire on the inside of the bonnet that goes to the headlamp. The twister was rubbing on the wire and rubbing through the cover. Check it on your car.

I wrapped the worn spot with electrical tape and then moved the wire away from where it was rubbing.

Hope this is helpful. Anyone else have any installation observation.

Andy

Andy,
Looks like some good info. Thanks for posting that.

I have shipped out the 3 tubes for people to try out, and let me know how they are.

Last, I need to appologize to the people that are still waiting for there intakes. MY distributer is held up. I am pushing him as hard as I canand hope to get them out ASAP. If anyone has any problems, please let me know and we can discuss options.

Also to anyone that has e-mailed me with questions, I am working with my distributor to work out the proper answers.

Thanks
Dan

Please give an update for us still waiting for our intakes.
Did they ship last week, if not, when will they ship?
Can't wait for it to arrive.

For those of you that already have it installed, how do you like it?
There hasn't been much activity here as of late.

Thanks a lot guys!!

Picture wasn't included Dan. Also I don't know anything about this product. Why should I want it?

You can check the product out at http://www.promini.com. I am just offering an alternative to those that have been waiting so long. This is designed by the people over at BMP Design.

Here is the picture

Thanks

Dan,

I checked it out, advertised to produce 12.9 hp for the S. You say they said it dyno'd at 4hp for the Cooper and probably would be only 2. Is that comporable to the Twister for the Cooper. What gain could we resonably expect for the Cooper without any other mods?

Thanks for researching an alternative.

Chuck

The BMP Cooper intake is SOOOOOO nice. I got a few in yesterday and was very impressed. Great looking product, very well designed and looks mean. It looks like it was worth the WAAAAIIIIITTTT.

The Twister got about 1-1.5 hp with an exhaust on the car. Without the exhaust I would have expected about 2-2.5 so they are both in line. It is comparable to the twister, but install is different, and it's not a closed cold air intake. (not all bad)

Thanks
Dan

Me too. I'm getting a little impatient now. It's been almost two months.
